Everything clubs, venues, and fans ask us about Game Set Engage — pricing, campaigns, check-ins, and what happens with the data.
Getting Started
New here? Start with these.
Game Set Engage is a fan engagement platform for sports clubs: campaigns, check-ins, rewards and analytics in one place. Clubs run campaigns such as matchday check-ins, surveys, predictions and points auctions; fans join from the Game Set Engage app on their phone and earn engagement points; the club sees which fans show up and how they take part. It launched publicly in 2026 and is free to start on the Local plan. Take the full platform tour.
A fan engagement platform gives a sports club one place to interact with its supporters beyond matchday: running campaigns, rewarding attendance and participation, and turning the results into data the club can act on. Game Set Engage focuses on location-verified engagement, with check-ins at the stadium, at partner venues or from home, so every interaction adds to the club's own picture of its fan base. More in what fan engagement means.
Game Set Engage is built to get fans to show up: location-verified check-ins, points and a partner-venue network, with nothing to integrate and a free plan to start. Socios is built around crypto fan tokens, Monterosa around interactive content for large broadcasters and rights holders, and FanMaker around loyalty programs for US college and pro teams, integrated with ticketing and point-of-sale. See the side-by-side comparisons.
About 15 minutes: create your club, add your details, and you're in the dashboard. There's no review queue or approval step for campaigns, so a campaign can go live as soon as setup is done. Creating your club account walks through it step by step.
No. The Local plan is free for up to 1,000 active fans, with no credit card, no trial clock and no contract. You only pay if your fan base grows past 1,000: extra fans are billed at $0.02 each, or you can move up to a bigger plan. Compare the options on the pricing page.
Any sport, any size: grassroots and amateur sides, supporter groups, professional clubs and college athletics programs. The platform is the same for everyone. Smaller clubs usually start free on Local, while bigger organisations pick the plan that matches their fan base. Browse use cases by club size or see the college athletics page.
Yes. Club owners invite team members by email, and accepted invitations get crew access to the same dashboard: campaigns, events, fans and analytics. Billing and crew management stay with the owner. Team members are included on every plan, including the free one. See inviting and managing your team.
Pricing & Plans
What it costs, what's included.
Four plans, sized by fan base: Local is free for up to 1,000 fans; City is $199/month for up to 10,000; National is $1,999/month for up to 100,000; and Global is $19,900/month for up to 1,000,000. Extra fans beyond your limit cost $0.02 each ($0.01 on Global). Full details on the pricing page.
Every core feature: the full club dashboard, with campaigns, GPS check-ins, venue partnerships, events, team members and analytics, for up to 1,000 active fans. Premium features like the naim AI Assistant and Fan Segments unlock on City and above, and API access starts on National. More on the Local plan page.
naim is an insights assistant for clubs on City plans and above. It watches your club's own data and surfaces twelve types of insight, refreshed hourly: campaign recommendations, timing patterns, quiet fans at churn risk and gaps in your campaign calendar. It also answers plain-English questions about your club's data and sends a weekly digest. naim recommends; your team decides and runs every campaign. More on the naim page.
Living, rule-based groups of fans, available on City plans and above. You define up to 8 conditions from 24 fields, such as points balance, check-in recency and demographics fans have chosen to share, and membership stays current on its own as fan data changes. Segments can target push notifications and export as CSV for your own campaigns. See Fan Segments and targeted push.
Nothing breaks. Extra active fans are billed as overage: $0.02 per fan on Local, City and National, and $0.01 on Global. If you're consistently well over your limit, the next plan can work out cheaper, and your billing page suggests an upgrade once you pass 80% of your limit. More in plan, billing and upgrades.
Yes, always. Fan accounts are free, following a club is free, and there's no fan billing anywhere on the platform. Clubs pay for their plan; fans just show up, take part and earn points. See what fans get.
Campaigns
What clubs can run.
Matchday check-ins, open campaigns, shared and unique deal codes, surveys and quizzes, predictions, QR campaigns, and auctions where fans bid engagement points. Each type is configured by points, location, quotas and per-fan limits, and campaigns can be linked as bonuses or prerequisites, which adds up to 500+ campaign scenarios from one builder. Campaign types explained covers each one.
As soon as you publish it: there's no review queue or approval step. Most campaign types start whenever you set them to; matchday check-in campaigns follow their event's schedule and open an hour before kickoff. See managing and publishing campaigns.
Clubs list a prize, such as a signed shirt or a VIP experience, and fans bid the engagement points they've earned. Auctions run on points, never money, and bids update live for everyone watching. Late bids extend the closing window briefly, so an auction can't be sniped in the last second, and the winner's points are spent when it closes. Campaign types explained has the details.
A standard deal code campaign gives every participant the same shared code, good for a blanket offer like a merch discount. A special deal code campaign gives each fan their own unique code from a pool you upload or generate, so every code traces back to one fan and you can see exactly who received which code. See deal codes and discount codes.
Yes. Prediction campaigns let fans answer questions like a scoreline or first scorer before the match. Entries earn nothing up front; once the club marks the correct answers, fans who got it right are awarded the points. It's a low-effort, high-engagement matchday ritual. See surveys and predictions.
Some campaigns only open once a fan has taken part in another one first. A club might want supporters at the matchday check-in before the prediction game unlocks. The app shows the locked campaign with the reason attached rather than hiding it, so the fan knows which one to finish first. Clubs set this when building the campaign, and it's optional. See prerequisite and bonus campaigns.
Check-Ins & Points
How fans check in and earn.
The main check-in is GPS-based, right in the Game Set Engage app on the fan's phone: no hardware, no printed QR codes, no turnstile scanners. The phone confirms the fan is at the venue and the campaign awards the matching points. QR codes appear in two specific places: partner-venue check-ins, where the fan shows a QR to venue staff for approval, and the dedicated QR campaign type. More on check-ins for clubs.
Yes, for your club's own check-in campaigns, when you turn the home tier on. Clubs usually reward being at the stadium with the most points, watching at a partner venue with fewer, and checking in from home with the least; the exact values are yours to set per campaign. Partner-venue check-ins are the exception: they're checked against the venue's own location, because the venue pays for people who actually walk in. Ideas for engaging fans during live broadcasts.
Yes. Every check-in campaign records who checked in and where they were watching, at the stadium, a partner venue or home, so attendance builds up match by match without turnstile data or paper registers. Your dashboard shows participations, repeat attendees and a check-in heatmap, and you can download any fan's participation history as a CSV. See campaign analytics and reports.
Points fans earn by taking part: checking in, answering surveys, joining campaigns. Each fan builds a points balance with each club they follow, which feeds the club's top-fans ranking in the dashboard, and points are what fans bid in auctions. Points aren't money and can't be bought. See understanding your fans.
Yes. Campaigns award points, each fan builds a running total with your club, and your dashboard ranks your top fans. You can also let fans spend points, for example bidding in an auction for signed kit or unlocking a deal code, so loyalty turns into rewards without handling cash. See how fan reports work.
No. Points are lifetime, and seasons organise your campaigns and events rather than resetting anything, so a loyal fan's total carries forward year after year. New campaigns and events file themselves into the season whose dates cover them, and deleting a season never deletes what's inside it. See seasons explained.
Check-ins are GPS-verified against the campaign's location and radius. On top of that, each fan account is bound to a single device, and a phone can only be the registered device of one account, so one handset can't farm a campaign through a stack of sign-ups. Partner-venue check-ins add a person to the loop: the fan has to be at the venue, and staff approve the check-in in front of them. More on location-verified check-ins.
Venue Partnerships
Where venues fit in.
Pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés and other local businesses sign up and ask clubs to partner; each club's team approves a venue for that club only. Partner venues join matchday check-in campaigns with their own incentive, like 20% off your tab, and can also offer fans standalone deals on the days they choose, so the partnership works midweek too. Fans get the deals and can earn points, the venue gets footfall, and the club earns a fee on every confirmed check-in and offer claim. Details on features for venues.
No, there's no distance limit at all. A London pub can partner with an Istanbul club to become the home of its expat supporters; a café in Cologne can run offers for a fan base two thousand kilometres away. Diaspora fan communities are one of the strongest reasons venues join. More on engaging diaspora fans.
Every confirmed partner-venue check-in and offer claim books a fee, set by the club, that the venue owes the club. It's the platform's one real money flow: auctions run on points and deal codes are rewards, so neither is revenue. After the platform commission, you keep 70% of venue partnership fees on Local, rising to 90% on Global. Try the earnings calculator or read how venue revenue works.
Any local business with a Google Maps listing: pubs, sports bars, restaurants, cafés, gyms, hotels, entertainment venues, even a barbershop that wants matchday traffic. Register with your Google Maps link and you can ask clubs to partner straight away; each club decides for itself.
Yes. Either side can end it from the dashboard: the club's team, or the venue's owner or a manager. The venue leaves that club's campaigns and its offers to that club's fans stop. Check-ins already confirmed, the fees they booked and any invoices stay as they are, and the venue can ask the club again later unless the club blocks it. Its partnerships with other clubs carry on unchanged. See how clubs end or block a partnership.
The venue is paused for every club until the invoice is paid. Fans can't find it in the app, check in there or claim its offers, and it can't send partnership requests, create, edit or resume offers, join campaigns, or confirm check-ins and offer claims. It can still sign in and pay. Once the invoice is paid, everything comes back by itself, with its partnerships and offers as they were. What a pause means.
For Fans
Joining and taking part.
Yes. The fan experience lives in the Game Set Engage mobile app: signing up, following clubs, joining campaigns and GPS check-ins all happen there. Clubs and venues don't need to install anything; they run everything from the web dashboard. More about the fan app.
Up to three clubs at a time, and following is always free. Each club relationship is separate, so points earned with one club stay with that club. Leaving a club frees the slot straight away, so a fan can pick someone new immediately. The points they built up stay banked with the club they left, but they can't follow that same club again for 90 days. See what fans get.
A fan account is tied to one phone, the one it was first set up on. That's what stops a single handset running a stack of accounts, and it's checked whenever a fan checks in or joins a campaign. Changed phones? The account can be moved across from the app: two moves are allowed in any 12-month period, and the original setup doesn't count against that. More about the fan app.
At least 13 in the US and UK, and at least 16 in the EU. For youth and junior clubs that usually means the fans are parents, family and supporters in the stands, not the young players themselves. See the fan terms.
Data, Privacy & Integrations
What we do with the data.
Fans delete their own account in the app: Profile, then Delete account, then confirm your password. It happens straight away, with no waiting period, and it can't be undone. You're signed out on every device and your email address is free to register again immediately. Past participation stays with the clubs, anonymised rather than removed. Club and venue accounts have no delete button: email privacy@gamesetengage.com. Full detail on the account deletion page.
Clubs see engagement analytics (participations, points, unique and repeat participants, top campaigns) plus an aggregated check-in heatmap, never a per-fan location pin. Demographic breakdowns only include fans who chose to share that data by completing the club's Extended Profile survey. Fan emails stay partially hidden on dashboard screens; full addresses only appear in CSV exports on City plans and above (segment exports and survey, quiz and prediction responses), covered by the privacy policy.
Location is collected with consent when a fan checks in, and it confirms the check-in and decides the points it earns. The club's dashboard shows an aggregated check-in heatmap and the points each check-in earned, with no per-fan pins on a map, and data is handled in line with GDPR. Full detail in the privacy policy.
No. The platform sends no marketing email to fans on a club's behalf, and there's no built-in email campaign feature. In-app push notifications are the built-in channel: every plan can send them, and City plans and above can target a segment. Clubs on City and above can also export a segment as CSV for their own email campaigns and are responsible for using those lists lawfully. See push notifications to fans.
Not today. There are no POS, CRM or ticketing integrations, and we'd rather say that plainly than imply otherwise. National and Global plans include API access for clubs that want to build their own fan app; see the developer docs and how that compares on our comparison pages.
College Athletics
For athletic departments.
Local partner venues are the clearest new line: cafés, restaurants and sports bars near campus sign up, partner with your program, and join your campaigns. You set a fee on every confirmed partner-venue check-in and offer redemption, keep 70 to 90% of it depending on your plan, and Game Set Engage invoices the venues monthly. It's money that doesn't come out of ticket sales. See college athletics.
Game Set Engage doesn't integrate with any ticketing or POS system, so it isn't pulling from data you already have. Every check-in belongs to a signed-in fan, including students, alumni and families who check in at a partner venue, or from home if you turn that on, instead of buying a ticket. Over a season that builds a fan list your ticketing system was never going to show you.
Partner venues aren't only bars. Cafés, restaurants, coffee shops and other local businesses can all partner. Your program approves each venue that asks to partner, and once approved, a venue can join any of your check-in campaigns. Unless you switch it off, you also approve each venue offer before fans see it. Game Set Engage doesn't run an age check at check-in, so if your fan base includes under-21 students, approve venues and offers with that in mind. Under our fan terms, fans in the US must be at least 13.
Game Set Engage has no fields for grades, student IDs or academic records. Fans sign up in the app themselves. If your program would rather create accounts from its own records (National and Global plans), check that with your compliance office first. More on college athletics.
